Would you love to lose belly fat naturally? Are you worried that your favorite jeans no longer fit you? Are you afraid that you look unflattering in your most treasured cocktail dress? Well, worry no more – there is a solution to help you lose those love handles and belly fat. In fact, it’s all natural.

Lose Belly Fat

Let’s face it, maintaining a healthy body will save you a lot of trouble and expense. Maintaining a healthy lifestyle makes you less susceptible to various diseases. There are many choices that will help you lose belly fat. These range from diet plans, supplements, surgery and exercising. Diet and work-outs play an important role in natural belly fat loss. If you are at a loss at what technique best suits you, here are some tips:

A Diet Plan – The First Step In Losing Belly Fat

There is a lot of misconception that starving speeds up fat loss. Contrary to common belief, you don’t have to starve yourself; but you do need to know which foods to eat and which to avoid. Tip: rather than have three heavy meals in a day, it is advisable that you have 4 – 6 smaller meals.

As funny as it may sound, you are also advised to chew your food more slowly – this way you trick your mind into ‘thinking’ you’ve eaten your fill. Taking time to eat and chew thoroughly allows you enough time to experience pleasure and satiety.

Other than vegetables and fruits, eat fish, yogurt, nuts and seeds, beans and other legumes, whole grains and low fat milk. The idea is basically to take in lots of proteins and fiber-rich food, and keep the fat and complex carbohydrates very limited.

Drink Lots of Water

Most nutritionists today have one similarity in their recommendations for weight loss; drinking lots of water. In fact you should take 8 glasses of water daily. About 75% of the human body is made up of water and its main function is to burn calories and fats in our bodies as we undertake our daily physical activities. The liver and kidney play a vital role in detoxification and metabolism. Normally if the body doesn’t receive sufficient amounts of water, the liver is forced to assist the kidney in the removal of toxins from the body. This in turn implies that there is increased accumulation of fat in the body. You can now understand how imperative it is to consume lots of water.

Belly Fat Exercises

The following work-out routines, dubbed ‘belly fat exercises’, have over time proven to be effective in helping to tone the abdomen for both men and women. Here are 3 top exercises:

1. The Bicycle Exercise – targets the obliques and the 6-pack muscles. In this case, get into a supine-position, put your hands on the back of your head and bring the knees towards your chest. Do not lift your shoulders. Swing your left elbow slowly towards the right knee as you straighten your left leg. Switch sides. Do 2 – 4 sets with 13 – 17 repetitions. Check it out here.

2. The Vertical Leg Crunch – Lie on the floor, put your legs straight-up and the knees crossed. Support your head by placing your hands beneath it. Keeping the legs in a fixed position, lift your shoulders off the ground. Do 2 – 3 sets a day with 15 – 18 repetitions. Check it out here.

3. The Captain’s Chair Leg Raise – you’ll require a rack with padded arms and a captain’s chair. Stand on the chair while gripping the hand-holds. Press your back on the pad and raise your knees towards the chest. Do 2 – 3 sets with 13- 17 repetitions. Check it out here.

It’s important to realize that you can’t lose fat only from the belly – losing belly fat requires losing overall body fat.

You should also get adequate sleep (8 hours a day), reduce your stress levels, and of course keep away from junk food. Even meditation can help reduce belly fat.

A Medical Weight Loss Plan Can Do It

If you’ve struggled with weight loss or getting rid of belly fat, you may want to consider a medical weight loss program. A doctor’s support can help you reach your goal by ensuring you’re using the most proven techniques, customizing the program for your specific body issues and health challenges, and ensuring that hunger doesn’t “take you out”. Good tips, Doc. I’m pretty sold on the idea of adding interval training to lose weight fast. It’s not as time consuming as traditional aerobic exercise (not as boring either) and I find that narrowing in on a particular body part (belly fat) isn’t really as helpful as the overall benefits of high intensity interval training.
That’s not to say that there are some movements that will focus on the core of the body (belly, back, etc) that WILL help to strengthen those supporting muscles.

Doubling your daily water intake on days after a food binge is a neccessity. Most people underestimate how effective proper hydration can be for UNDOING the damage of over-eating. For EVERY gram of active carbohydrates you eat on a daily basis, your body will hold about 3 grams of water. So if you just cut carbs, the scale might trick you into thinking that you’re losing a bunch of weight – but it’s not fat…it’s water weight. Sorry. You’re just dropping a bunch of water.
