Balsamic vinegar, wine vinegar, rice vinegar or apple cider vinegar can be used in the place of regular vinegar, and will give a generally tastier result. Olive oil is generally the best choice for the oil, although walnut oil is also a healthy fat choice.

Adding half a teaspoon of cinnamon to your daily diet is also a powerful carb blocker. Cinnamon works to slow carb absorption in your intestines, which drops blood sugar levels significantly – up to 29%, according to USDA researchers. Cinnamon can also be taken in capsule form as a supplement.
