When your job depends on losing weight, and your family is at risk of losing your income, it can be very motivating to find a weight loss diet or system to help you lose weight that really works. Even if your income isn’t affected, carrying extra weight is no fun. Here are some of the people we’ve talked to who need to lose 30 pounds, or more.

- Individuals With Health Challenges That Lead to Being Overweight
The Military Requires Healthy, Fit Enlisted Personnel
Our office is in Honolulu, so we have Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps, National Guard and Defense Department bases near us. The military is a major source of employment in our area. Of course, Pearl Harbor is only ten miles from Honolulu.
Many of our military must maintain a healthy weight as a condition of service – their jobs depend on being fit and ready for action.
The weight requirements for joining the military are adjusted to height, and vary by branch. Body fat ratio may also be tested. When testing body fat, gender plays a role, as does age. For example, the Air Force requires a maximum body fat of 20% for males <30, 24% for males >30, 28% for females <30, and 32% for females >30 at point of entry to their service. Entertainers Need To Stay In Shape
Hawaii is, as we all know, a beautiful tourist destination. If you’re an entertainer or performer, you need to stay in shape both because of the stamina needed to perform at your best, and so you’ll look good in front of a crowd. Video and TV “add 10 pounds”, they say… so it’s extra-important to stay slim if you are a media personality. It’s part of what it takes to make your living, and keep a roof over your children’s heads.
New Mothers Need to Lose “Baby Weight”
The changes in your body when bearing a child are miraculous, and as a physician I’m in awe of the complex adjustments a woman’s body goes through in preparation for childbirth. However, once your new baby is born, your body may need a little extra care and maintenance to get back to its best.
Age Tends to Add Weight
Depending on lifestyle, many people find a few extra pounds creep on as they age. I’ve had many clients tell me that extra weight crept up on them. They may have added 10 pounds per decade, but suddenly here they are at fifty and they need to lose 30 pounds. This is a great choice, as it will add years, and possibly even an extra decade of fit and healthy life for them.
Ill Health Can Cause Weight Gain
Doctors know that ill health, whether it is physical or mental, can send our clients into a spiral. They become more inactive, gain weight, don’t feel well, and become even less active… and before they know it, they’ve joined our list of people who need to lose 30 pounds or more. If you’ve gained weight due to ill health, you may need the extra help that a physician-directed weight loss program can give you, to get back to feeling in vibrant health. And that’s what we’re here for.
We Can Help You If You Need To Lose 30 Pounds (or More!)
I firmly believe that if you need to lose 30 pounds or more, properly trained weight loss doctors are the key. You want to lose that weight safely, quickly, without hunger, and you want to keep it off. The best weight loss program under these circumstances is a medical weight loss program, like ours. There are lots of crash diets out there, but some are unsafe, and many will use up a lot of time and money you don’t have to spare. If you get results (and that can be a big “if”, they may come at the cost of your health, or vanish within weeks.
We don’t do gimmick diets. We offer a physician-supervised weight loss program that really works. If you’re serious when you say “I need to lose 30 pounds”, call us today to book a free initial consultation at (808) 531-7277, or fill in the weight loss consultation form and we’ll get back to you.
